I've made R2D2 his golden counterpart, although I couldn't find the appropriate golden felt at the store so I made do with bright yellow. In retrospect, I should have made the base a contrasting color (to compensate I colored it in with permanent marker). I like the big eyes with the quilt like stitching.
In addition to being a soft sculpture, he is also a useful zipper pouch lined with a subtle yellow batik cotton. Entirely cut and stitched by hand.
